The AFC approves Majdi Al-Dosari as VAR TIO

The Asian Football Confederation approved the Head of the Information Technology Department at the Bahrain Football Association, Majdi Al-Dosari, as the VAR Technical Information Officer, after successfully completing the activities of the workshop organized by the continental association on July 10 and 11, 2024 in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Majdi Al-Dosari is one of the national competencies working in the Bahrain Football Association, and his selection on the Asian list reflects the directives of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Football Association, headed by the President of the Association, His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and his deputy, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, by supporting national cadres and ensuring that they reach the highest levels through their effective presence in various forums.

The Asian Football Confederation’s approval of a new list of VAR Technical Information Officers comes in preparation for the implementation of the VAR Technical Information System in all club competitions, at different stages during the next season, as it will be supervised by the VAR Technical Information Officers accredited by the Asian Federation.
The workshop reviewed the application of referees announcing the details of the decision on the pitch to improve transparency and communication with the fans. It will also help the VAR information coordinators to update their skills to ensure the highest standards of professionalism in Asian competitions over the coming days.
