Al-Zaabi receives FIFA Technical Advisor
The Secretary-General of the Bahrain Football Association, Rashid Al-Zaabi, received at the association’s headquarters the FIFA Technical Advisor for the West Asia region, Tunisian Belhassen Malouche, on the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of his review and follow-up of the technical activities and programs of the associations.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Football Association, Rashid Al-Zaabi, welcomed the FIFA Technical Advisor, conveying to him the greetings of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Football Association, headed by the President of the Association, His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and his Deputy, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The two parties discussed ways of cooperation and joint coordination, especially in the proposal that the Bahrain Football Association will submit to host training and development workshops and courses organized by the Asian and International Federations; with the aim of benefiting from their outcomes in developing national cadres technically and administratively, by attracting elite lecturers with extensive and cumulative experience.
The meeting also witnessed the discussion of reorganizing the Technical Affairs Department of the Bahrain Football Association in possible cooperation with the International Federation; To establish a new administrative structure that is consistent with the future aspirations of the organization of technical work.
The meeting also witnessed a discussion of developing women’s football by establishing a new organization that ensures ways to advance women’s football, by benefiting from the various support projects allocated by the International Federation of Women’s Football. Al-Zaabi and Maloush discussed the file of organizing the work of football academies, in a way that achieves an integrated mark as one of the pillars of development in work by containing emerging talents, in addition to discussing the mechanisms of the regulations organizing academy competitions and creating them to ensure the optimal activation of their role. The meeting also witnessed a discussion of the Federation’s activation of the talent discovery program under the supervision of the International Federation during the current period, which reflects the Federation’s aspirations aimed at advancing technical work, whether in national teams or clubs, by discovering, refining and developing talents.
The Secretary-General of the Bahrain Football Association, Rashid Al-Zaabi, expressed his outstanding appreciation for the efforts made by Counselor Belhassan Maloush, in transferring cumulative experiences and constructive cooperation with the Federation with the aim of technical development, which reflects positively on Bahraini football and achieves the desired development goals.
